Barlow Tyrie launches in-house bronze plaque production

It has been over a century since Barlow Tyrie produced its first seat, and we are proud to announce an addition to our service, which is the production of bronze plaques at our factory in Braintree, UK.  A seat with a bronze plaque personalises a gift to a loved one or provides a unique and distinctive lasting memorial.

We produce each bronze plaque with attention to detail to ensure a long-lasting product of the highest quality you can trust.

We use phosphor bronze, on which we engrave your personal inscription and kiln-fire it to apply vitreous enamel. Using vitreous enamel, which is glass, ensures the inscription will last for many years without deteriorating from the weather. We then descale and clean the plaque and apply a treatment that gives it its attractive aged bronze patina.

We recess the plaque into the top rail of the seat, flush with the rail's face, with no visible sign of the fixing. The seat and plaque then stand as a testament to the sentiment that you wish to share.
