Vladimir Kagan is one of today’s most enduring designers of modern furniture with a career that has spanned over fifty-five years. He started designing in 1947 and by the early Fifties, his innovative sculptured furniture created a new look in American furniture. Kagan designed most of our woven range in 2008 including the above Cove, Savannah and Arizona designs.

Prototype Stock

Barlow Tyrie believes in continually improving our products. In some cases this means we have stocks of previous versions. These are perfect items but not to our current specification.

The Eclipse lounger now has a different back stay and we have stocks of the original version. The frame is made from 'Virgin Aluminum'. We chemically clean each item and then powder-coat the aluminum to prevent oxidation and to ensure it gives long service. The slings are made from Textilene®, which is woven from PVC coated polyester non-stretch yarn. This material guarantees our slings are strong, durable and mildew resistant requiring the minimum of maintenance.
